RETTENDON TORCY LE PETIT TWINNING GROUP
Rettendon has a twinning association with Torcy le Petit, a small rural village nestling in the beautiful valley of La Varenne, about 10km from Dieppe. Alternate years villagers from one of the communities cross the Channel and are entertained for a long weekend by the host community. We live with the families and over the years close friendships have been established and we have come to appreciate the way of life of our opposite numbers. We have visited Paris a number of times, Rouen, Giverney and other places of interest as well as eating and drinking superbly. And all this with many of us starting out without a word of French. In between visits we are a social group and hold a number of fund raising events as well as meetings in members houses about once a month which are as much about enjoying each others company as well as organising the next event.
