Rettendon lies about seven miles south of Chelmsford in the county of Essex.
Rettendon is made up of the hamlets of Rettendon Village, Rettendon
Common and Battlesbridge.
The majority of the area consists of arable farmland with the River
Crouch to its southern boundary, Woodham Ferrers and South Woodham
Ferrers to the eastern boundary, Runwell and South Hanningfield to the
West and East Hanningfield to the North.
The civil parish of Rettendon comes within the administrative area of
the Chelmsford Borough Council.
